The Confident Reader Project~Launching Fall 2026

The Confident Reader Project is a parent-friendly homeschool reading curriculum designed to help early readers build strong foundational literacy skills through a structured, multi-sensory approach. Rooted in the principles of the Orton-Gillingham methodology and aligned with science of reading instruction, this Level 1 program guides children step-by-step through essential early reading concepts including consonant and vowel sounds, CVC words, digraphs, vowel-consonant-e words, and more.

This comprehensive instructor manual provides scripted lessons that make teaching easy and approachable for parents, even without prior teaching experience. Lessons incorporate hands-on, engaging activities that support phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, and comprehension while helping children develop confidence as readers.

In addition to explicit phonics instruction, The Confident Reader Project includes light handwriting practice, meaningful read-aloud selections with guided comprehension discussions, and simple vision training exercises to support overall literacy development. Carefully designed to meet the needs of beginning readers, this curriculum blends structure, encouragement, and fun to create a positive learning experience for both parent and child.

Whether you are homeschooling full-time, supplementing your child’s education, or supporting a struggling reader, The Confident Reader Project offers a clear and supportive pathway toward reading success.
