Orton Gillingham Reading Tutoring

I provide reading tutoring online or in person using the Orton Gillingham approach and explicit instruction in phonological awareness using the work of David Kilpatrick. Sessions last approximately one hour and typically take place one to two times per week.  At our first lesson students will be assessed in their present phonics and phonological awareness skills to determine where to begin instruction.  Students focus on one phonics skill per lesson spiraling in review and spelling practice in a multi-sensory approach. This method is highly successful with struggling readers.
