Reading Assessments and Consultations

Are you wondering about your child's reading progress? Would you like some input on strategies or resources to support your child's learning?

 

I meet with students using a variety of diagnostic reading assessments to better understand a student's foundational reading skills such as phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, spelling, and reading comprehension. Reading assessments typically last approximately one to one and a half hours depending on age.  Assessments are intended to guide instruction and not diagnose a potential learning disability, though they can provide clues about student's strengths and weaknesses in reading skills.  I also offer resources and suggestions on how to improve these reading skills with a follow up consultation if desired.
